Milwaukee, WI — M.E. Dey & Co., a leading freight forwarder and customs broker, proudly supported The Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago (HTGC) in Lemont, IL, by facilitating the importation of sacred Kalashas from India for the temple’s recent consecration (Rajagopuram Samprokshanam) ceremony.
The Kalashas, which have deep religious significance and are installed at the top of the temple tower (Rajagopuram), were handcrafted in India and required precise coordination to meet the temple’s timeline for various ceremonies scheduled. M.E. Dey’s Vice President of Strategic Development, Dustin King, supported by the M.E. Dey logistics and brokerage teams, as well as M.E. Dey’s international partner Expo Freight Pvt Ltd (EFL Global India), worked closely with HTGC leadership to ensure timely delivery.
“This was more than a shipment—it was a spiritual mission,” said Dustin King. “We were honored to ensure these sacred items arrived safely and on time for such a meaningful event that has been in planning for over two years. The warmth and hospitality shown by the temple community made this project especially memorable.”
The shipment faced tight deadlines and customs complexities. M.E. Dey and its partners navigated these challenges with precision, ensuring timely delivery ahead of the consecration.
HTGC Manager Chittur Ramesh expressed gratitude: “It was a pleasure working with M.E. Dey. Their team was helpful at every step, and we look forward to future collaborations.”
Photos and videos from the event, shared by temple representatives, capture the beauty of the Kalashas and the joy of the community.
