Job Summary

Facilitating the U.S. Customs Entry process by auditing documentation, processing data entry items, tracking freight, and providing excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review import documentation for accuracy.
  • Enter data into an operating system to transmit ISF and entry information to Customs.
  • Coordinate with carriers to obtain information and track the status of shipments via carrier websites and other resources.
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email to provide updates on shipments and obtain details necessary to process customs entries.
  • Communicate delays and other challenges of the import process to management and customers.
  • Process customs entries of various entry types and commodities.
  • Process customs entries with additional government agency requirements.
  • Communicate with the importer to obtain necessary information for proper classification.
  • Assist Entry Writer I staff with basic entry processing knowledge.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years’ related experience required.
  • CCS Certification or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • CargoWise Software experience preferred but not required.
