Phase 2 of the Bio-terrorism act enforcement has begun.

This will be the first phase of enforcement. Violations might be no prior notice filed, late prior notice filing, facility registration problems or no PN confirmation received. The penalty action will be if there is a history of the above violations. The goods may be refused and a monetary penalty issued.

Phase 3 of this process is scheduled to start on May 13^th. During this phase, failure to provide PN in a timely manner will result in refusal and or penalty.
