Mission to China

March 19-30,

2004

China is currently the world’s fastest growing economy, with a growth rate expected to reach 9% for 2003.

Economic liberalization has unleashed a robust private sector that is seeking a variety of products from foreign suppliers. In 1991, China was not among Wisconsin's top 30 export destinations. Today, it ranks fifth.

Wisconsin-made products enjoying strong demand include medical devices, agricultural products, environmental equipment, emergency / public sector vehicles, and building materials.

There is no better time to actively pursue the opportunities presented by the Chinese market.
